POKOTABI / SAKURA TERRACE
tretar SAKURA(トレートール サクラ)
Tucked away in a Komagome residential quarter, tretar SAKURA serves handmade pizza, charcoal-roasted coffee, and cupcakes piped with delicate buttercream blooms in a dog-friendly setting.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
When the teacup arrives bearing a cluster of handcrafted petals, it almost feels like a shame to break into them. The signature offering at tretar SAKURA is its floral buttercream cupcake, a palm-sized bake topped with buttercream piped bloom by bloom. Smooth, restrained sweetness from the frosting meets the rustic crumb beneath, instantly brightening the tabletop.
A well-brewed drink makes a natural companion. Choices range from Sakura Terrace Coffee—a house blend balanced across gentle acidity, bitterness, and body—to charcoal-roasted coffee brewed with beans roasted over Kishu binchotan for a smoky, lingering depth. The drinks list also includes Sakura Tea, a Japanese black tea accented with salted cherry blossoms, alongside desserts such as coffee jelly crowned with ice cream.
For something more substantial, there are thin, chewy house-made pizzas and soft white-bread sandwiches. Pizza selections include the classic Margherita, prepared with organic tomato sauce and melted mozzarella, alongside Bianco, which tops a mascarpone base with garlic-seasoned whitebait fresh from the oven.
Both indoor seating and the terrace welcome guests with dogs, making the space a frequent stop during neighborhood walks. Operating across 3 days each week—Friday, Saturday, and Sunday—the cafe offers an unhurried perch for an afternoon break.
